Back to School
I got a chance to go to school with my sister today. :)
She goes to Azusa Pacific University, a small private Christian school in So Cal. I went to her 8:20am Bio lecture... I was quickly reminded: 1) How much I hated Bio and 2) How much I hated 8am classes. Thanks to APU WiFi and my iPhone, I was able to stay awake.
After class, we went to chapel. It was awesome! I think kids at APU are so lucky to be able to come together multiple times a week and fellowship/worship together - even if its required.
We then took a quick tour around the campus. It wasn't quick because we were hurried, but rather, it just wasn't that big. It was definitely a different feel from what I was used to at UCSD. I asked the students there how big their classes were and they said their largest class was a freshman seminar for all freshman, so that was 300 students. For me, every single class had atleast 200+ students. The lecture I went to that morning had less kids than the discussion sessions I was used to in school.
My sister is lucky :)
It was so awesome to see her really come into her own and for me to be a witness to that.
