I found out about the show less than 24 hours before it actually happened. What a great surprise to have in your email inbox! I also had Jon sign my guitar strap. He drew an awesome self interpretation of the switchfoot falling star logo.

Also, I really want to live in the city...

"I belong to a church that throws parties for prostitutes"

Found this pastor's blog post... a great picture of being Christ-like.

Tony Campolo is a well-known American pastor known for his liberal political and social attitudes. He has been a major proponent for progressive thought and reform in the evangelical community. This is an interesting story about his trip to Hawaii, which shows how Christians have somewhat lost their focus.

Is America ready for a minority president?

The 2008 election is definitely in full swing and its gearing up to be pretty exciting.
No matter who you voted/will vote for, one thing is for sure, there will be a minority candidate on the ballot come November. Whether its Hillary or Obama, America has the option of elevating one of these minorities up to the most powerful seat in the country. The question is... is the United State ready for a minority president?

That is a question I pose to you. Ofcourse, we know the coast states have no problem with minorities in power, but think broadly through the vast expanse that makes up this country. If we are indeed ready for a minority president, thats great! But if we aren't, are we just bound for another Republican president?

Okay, sorry, no more questions... think, ponder and respond.

We live in a sick world...

From the Daily Mail...

Al Qaeda use two Down's syndrome women to blow up 73 people in Baghdad markets

Al Qaeda fanatics plumbed sickening new depths yesterday when they turned two women with Down's syndrome into human bombs to kill 70 people in Baghdad.
The unwitting pawns were apparently fooled into wearing explosive vests which were then detonated remotely by mobile phones as the women mingled with crowds.

The two blasts caused carnage at two busy markets in the Iraqi capital's deadliest atrocity since last spring.
