Spring

Ahhh... spring... flowers are blooming, birds are singing - time for new beginnings.

Jon Foreman has been releasing EPs to correlate with each of the seasons. Tuesday, Spring was released or as the rappers say "dropped". On the EP I've probably found my favorite song of the moment: "Your Love is Strong". Here are the lyrics as written by Jon himself...

And ofcourse a video of him performing the song:

Like Jon says, these lyrics are timeless and strike a really powerful chord.

Boba + free show.

I'm sitting in Fantasia Tea in Cupertino right now drinking my hot milk tea with taro balls and I'm getting a free show. In front of me there is a guy who is apparently trying to learn French.

He has his computer turned backwards with French words streaming across the screen. His headphones are in his ear and you hear him singing French words that appear on the screen. Not only that, but I guess there is a violin solo or something during the middle of the song because he begins to play air violin. He has this song on repeat, so I see him repeat these words and movements over and over again. What gets me is that this is in the middle of a Boba joint filled with people who don't seem to care. It doesn't even phase them, as if this is something normal.

Man, I love people...

Everything

A couple of months ago I was sent over a link to a skit called "Everything". Its loosely based off of the old YWAM "redeemer" skit with Lifehouse's "Everything" as the soundtrack. When I finished watching it, I couldn't help but being completely touched by it. I knew at that point CENT had to do this skit. So... I taught it to my students and here is our first performance of it at our Homestead High School outreach.

Cooking adventures

Tonight I took a step into the culinary world.
I made Chicken Breast stuffed with a sun-dried tomato, artichokes and fontina cheese.

Actually, since the grocery store mislabeled the cheese, its actually stuffed with Gruyère cheese.

How did it turn out?
The aroma of cooking this dish actually made it really good. The house was filled with smells of sun dried tomato and artichokes... mmm..
Taste? Alright, I think I need to stuff more stuffing into the chicken. Definitely need a little rice pillaf or something on the side to complement.

If you want to make this dish, check out the recipe here: Chicken Breasts stuffed with sun dried tomato, artichokes and fontina cheese

bon appetit!
